Thanks for joining me!

This is where I will do my best to guide you in your fun and exciting journey through the fabulous city of Las Vegas Nevada USA. Please add any input you may have, such as fun experiences while you were in town a hidden gem of a restaurant or perhaps a must see that you feel everyone should enjoy while visiting in Las Vegas.

My family traveled to many places while I was a growing up and I always remember all the wonderful foods from many different cultures. From Turkey to Caspian Sea to eastern Iran and to the south reaching Persian gulf, there are numerous wonderful different dishes to try and they are all wonderful and different. It is safe to say one of the best things in life is being able to try different foods and learning about different cultures. We are all very tribal people but we have far more in common than we know and one of those is our passion for good food. My mom being a professional chef was always considered to be the best cook in our vastly crazy large family. She was always being asked to cook for weddings and special events.

I grew up eating her tasty dishes and developed a taste for only the highest standards of cooking. In a way she ruined me because I became super picky with what I ate and often had a hard time at family functions where cooking was not up to par. I remember almost at every party the host would tell me “I hope you like it, it’s not your mom’s cooking but I did my best” and I was polite because mama raised me right so I would say “please, I’m sure it’s wonderful” when in fact in most cases it was a disaster ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿค moving on… Perhaps a bit snub you could call me but I don’t care I’m a foody and in list of pleasures of life I would rank food at the same level as sex if not above ๐Ÿ˜.

My mom and I moved to Paris when I was 15 where I was introduced to French cuisine rich food small portions and ungodly prices. Although worth every penny. From there we moved to the states and the rest is history but USA is unique in the way you have almost every food from every culture around the world in just about all major cities. Although most are not authentic they do give you a wide variety of different flavors close to its original taste as it is meant to be. Certain tastes can never be captured fully outside of its origin due to climate, feeding quality, soil and other factors and that’s why I love traveling almost as much as eating.

The one city that truly gives you the best of the best chefs in the world is none other than Las Vegas. I traveled to Las Vegas on and off since I was 17 years old and finally after years of living in the pacific NW, yet constantly traveling to Vegas in the tune of almost three times a year I decided to move to Vegas in 2007 and save myself the trouble.ย  I think it is safe to say I love this exciting, crazy, expensive, cheap, luxurious, fantastic, sunny, hot, burning, sexy, jumping, tasty, fashionable, amazing, fun, gambling, heart pounding, heart breaking, drinking, smoking, winning, losing, loving, hating, and shocking adult entertainment capital of the world called Vegas or as many often refer to it as SIN CITY. So join me, share your experiences with me on food and Vegas or anything else related to Vegas so that together we can Do Vegas Right.

Here is the first rule of spending time in Sin City; What happens in Vegas may end up on YouTube! So beware ๐Ÿ˜†
